CED trains elementary teachers in Pantabangan

A training of elementary school teachers in Pantabangan, Nueva Ecija was conducted by the College of Education in collaboration with First Gen Hydro Electric Power Corporation on April 3-4, 2014.

There were 35 teacher-participants from various public elementary schools across the municipality of Pantabangan.

With the aim of equipping teachers of updated knowledge and skills on the changing trends in education, the training revolved in four (4) main topics. These are: (1) Dissecting the K to 12 Framework: Historical and Legal Basis; (2) Localization of Instructional Materials: Preparation and Presentation; (3) Capacity Building for K to 12 Teachers: Designing a Classroom that is Responsive to Multiculturalism; and, (4) Curriculum Change: Implication for Teacher's Professional Development.

The training team was headed by the College Training Coordinator, Mr. Joel M. Torres. He was assisted by Dr. Regidor G. Gaboy, Mr. Verjun J. Dilla and Mr. Michael Delos Santos.
